Unlike America, we didn't have custom to bring back the body who died during the war.
All Japanese soldiers who fought in other countries, they had to leave the dead fellow soldiers, even though they wanted to take them home.
So they just pick up a remembarance and keep with them wishing they can go back to Japan and give it to them to the family of their fellow soldiers.
That's all they could do.

Kamikaze pilots, they know they die, and their body cannot go back to Japan, so they promised with their fellow soldiers 'Let's meet at Yasukuni Shrine'
Yasukuni is the Shinto shrine which is dedicated for the souls of dead people who fought for Emperor.

Nowadays, Yasukuni Shrine is forgotten.
Nobody goes there except right-wing people.
If I say, I would like to go to Yasukuni, people assume I am a militarist.

When Prime minister visited Yasukuni Shrine, he was accused by China, Korea even by Japanese mass media.
Japanese court ruled that former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's visits to Yasukuni Shrine are unconstitutional.

Those countries insist that the war criminals are enshrined, so that Japanese politician shouldn't visit Yasukuni.
The court says that visiting Yasukuni shrine is a religious act, because Yasukuni is a shrine, so visiting Shrine is illegal.

It is natural to show respect someone who died for your own country.
But in Japan, all soldiers are not respected, they are forgotten.

We have to remember them.
They sacrificed their lives for the country.

I want to find the way to make Japan a free country where people can pray for the souls of those who died in the war.
If you have any suggestion, let me know. I appreciate any idea!
thank you for reading my blog ;)
